Hi there!
Today our garage was visited by Ford Focus equipped with 1.8 liter diesel engine. There was a problem with oil leak and loads of white smoke from exhaust. We did inspection and found that turbo needs to be replaced.

Inspection
After inspection we had a full picture of what happened with turbocharger. Too long periods between services caused blockages in oil pickup and feed pipe. This was reason that turbocharger has gone.

Replacing Turbochargers
Because we stock a lot of turbochargers ready to be fitted or sold we save our customer’s time. So we stripped down old turbocharger and by the way we found out that feed pipe needs to be replaced for new one. Old one was damaged and it wasn’t safe to fit it with new turbocharger.
Before we fit new turbocharger we must replace oil and air filters for new one. Also we have to fill engine with brand new oil. These steps must be done to give turbocharger optimal work environment.
