Hello!

Today our garage has been visited by this BMW X5 with suspected turbo failure. The owner wasn’t sure which turbocharger is making problems so we checked them both.

Inspection

While doing inspection we found that bigger turbocharger is passing oil what causes white smoke from exhaust. Smal turbocharger was absolutely smashed. Shaft has snapped into two pieces and there was nothing more to do than replace it for reconditioned turbocharger.

Reconditioned turbochargers

The owner decided that he would like to have both turbochargers replaced. Because customers are most important for us we are happy to help sort this problem. We passed both turbochargers to our turbo reconditioning team for the rebuild.

Services

Before reconditioned turbochargers start boosting we have to do few services firstly. Most important is to drain old oil and check if there aren’t any blockages on oil feeding pipes. Once engine is filled with brand new oil we can replace air filter and oil filter for new ones.
