Hi there,

Here we have 2 Mercedeses with turbo problems One R-class 320 cdi and ML 420 cdi.

Mercedes kept going in to limp mode showing engine managment light. Error code was turbocharger actuator position fault.

Customer had already turbo actuator replaced. He had wrongly diagnosed problem by other mechanic. The reason of actuator fault was seized up, damaged VNT turbo control unit what is controlled by turbo electric actuator.

Here we have mercedes ML 420cdi with v8 engine. Very rare car with a lot of power and torque

Car kept loosing power and going to limp mode. Diagnostics showed actuator fault. It could not be even deleted. Customer already had turbo actuator reconditioned and replaced but it never solved turbo problem.

We have taken turbocharger off, assessed and found VNT unit had been damaged and overheated. Also turbine wheel has been damaged by impact.

New shaft , wheels, seals, bearings has been applied as well as new VNT unit.

Problem solved. Another happy customer!
